First entry of 2010

So its officially 2010 and about time for me to get back to this whole blogging thing, so with that said I won't be wasting anymore time and I look forward to a year of style (and substance)

My current obsession

its been awhile...but I'm back and today I'll be blogging my current obsession: simple tanks and tees...for some reason, out of nowhere I began this obsession with simple,very plain tanks and tees, no embellishment, not a lot of color and no print...just plain white/gray/black tanks and tees...so above are my current favorites from LNA, Splendid and LA Made

A little shout-out and a horn-toot

I just want to throw a shout-out and a horn-toot to the emerging talent of Thai designers...I always knew that there was so much talent in Thailand but finally we are getting the credit that we deserve so to Thakoon Panichgul with your classic aesthetic that is so modern and down-right pretty to Nuj Novakhett's romantic yet practical designs and to the three sisters Pim, Kly and Matina at Sretsis with your whimsical approach to clothing, I applaud you and feel a sense of pride in knowing that you and I are Thai so congratulations on your beautiful work and continue doing what your doing because it is amazing work

Paraty=a party

The Paraty bag from Chloe is exactly that...a party in a bag! Its made of soft, supple calf leather with raised accents detailing the curvy lines of the bag which along with gold-tone hardware make it the perfect combination of classic and sexy...this is my new favorite bag, now if only I could somehow find $2000 to spare...

The Birth of an Institution

its official! Opening Ceremony has finally launched their online site and even in its infancy I must say that it is amazing...for those of you that don't know of Opening Ceremony, it is a "department store" of sorts that is comprised of retail space along with galleries and other creative mediums. The selection is so unique and represents both young and emerging talent...I'm so excited about this b/c before the launch Opening Ceremony was only available in New York or Los Angeles and now we can enjoy a little piece of Opening Ceremony heaven!

New favorite place to shop online

I just stumbled upon the online branch of Fred Segal during one of my afternoon binges of online shopping and it is now my new favorite place to shop...I always believed that Fred Segal was the sole reason for me moving down to LA and now I don't have to...yay! so join me and visit this great site at www.fredsegaltrend.com and its organized much the same was as the iconic institution itself with mini boutiques inside one large site
